2019 Heggies Vineyard Estate Chardonnay

Aged in French oak barriques for 11 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a greenish tinge to the edges and a watery hue. Elevated nectarine and pear aromas are married to biscuity oak, faint dried honey, citrusy nougat and gun flint notes. Intense fleshy white peach, ripe nectarine and pear fruits provide plenty of richness across the creamy textured palate. Ensuing are notions of dried honey, nougat, biscuity oak and traces of gun flint. Excellent drive and volume with a long generously fleshed conclusion. Trophy winner at the 2021 Barossa Wine Show for best Chardonnay.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
