Matured in older oak barrels for 12 months. Midnight black in colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up liquorice and dark plum scents which are trailed by vanillin oak, earth and spicy mint like notes. Plump and juicy the medium to full bodied palate features rich dark plum and liquorice fruits over spicy vanillin cedar and light scorched earth characters. A touch of mint is also evident. Polished tannins with a ripe fleshy medium length aftertaste.
