2019 Grampians Estate Streeton Reserve Shiraz
Rich and silky with a long, super plush finish.
Aged in French oak. Midnight black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of dark plum and liquorice intermix with earth, vanillin cedar, hints of leather and peppered dried meat notes. Rich, voluptuous blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits have a silky flow across the beautifully shaped palate. Vanillin cedar, earthy mocha and spice elements lend further interest. Superb power and depth with cashmere like tannins and a very long, super plush conclusion.
Drink over the next 6-8 years
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews….
Aged in 1 new French oak hogshead and old American oak. Shows impressive poise from the get go, with ripe, sweet black fruits accompanied by a strong savoury, earthy, meaty thread. Medium weight, rich in wood spice and dark chocolate, finishing in fine, commanding tannins. A cellaring specialist. Drink by 2033.
