2019 Fontaleoni Chianti Colli Senesi

A blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo matured in steel tanks for 8 months. Dark red in colour with black tinged edges and a bright red hue. Aromas of red cherries and red currants infused with hints of rose petals are followed by earthy tobacco and spicy dried herb notes. Light in body the palate has spicy red currant fruits overlaying earth, dried herbs and traces of tobacco. Finishes fresh with slightly grainy tannins and a medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
