Matured for 18 months in French oak barriques. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olive, mulberry, toasty cedar, tobacco and spice notes. The medium bodied palate sports blackcurrant and mulberry fruits over a dusty cedar, tobacco and spicy black olive back drop. Slightly dryish, fine grained tannins and a refined aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
78/21/1% cabernet sauvignon/merlot/shiraz. Matured for 18 months in French oak (15% new). If Fermoy isn't edging onto your radar, you need to perk up. The wines have refreshed packaging, which reiterates the value found inside the bottles. This is very smart. Succulent, pure fruit is shaped by fine, chalky tannins that help the flavour sail over the palate and off into the distance. Really impressive for the price, it looks the part too. Drink by 2031.
