2019 Evans & Tate Redbrook Estate Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with gleaming green tinged edges and a watery hue. Elevated nectarine, lemon butter and oily toast aromas are trailed by hints of bees wax and spice. Vibrant nectarine and citrus fruits impart an energetic feel onto the palate with some lemon butter, subtle bees wax, toast and gun flint characters lying underneath. Good concentration with fresh acidity lending focus to the long elegant finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Wild ferment, mlf blocked, matured for 10 months in barrel and a further 6 months in tank on lees. A reliably brilliant wine, this year is no exception. Classy fruit collides with toasty oak, all of it punctuated by bright acidity and fine texture. Super-smart+.
