The Fucci’s six hectares of sixty year old vines are located on the Titolo lava channel, grown at 600 metres on a volcanic lava mix known locally as pozzolana.
Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Nosing offers up attractive scents of morello and dried cherries followed by some dried herb, earth and spice notes. Bright acidity underpins savoury morello and dried cherry flavours with some earth, dried herb and spice nuances in the background. Dryish finish with slightly grippy tannins and a fresh earthy dried herb laced aftertaste.
