2019 Domaine Roche Marcel Roche Cairanne

Made predominately from 70 year old Grenache vines. Impenetrable inky black heart with a deep dark red black hue. Lavish ripe black cherry, liquorice and blackberry scents engulf the olfactory senses with scorched earth, herbs du Provence and pepper ensuing. Large scaled, dense and super rich, the palate is awash with decadent black cherry, black raspberry and liquorice fruits which are underscored by blackpepper infused dried meats, scorched earth and herbs du Provence. A firm, robust tannin structure lends a chewy feel to the long ripe conclusion that’s a super saturate of black fruit.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Coming from 100% old vine Grenache, the 2019 Cairanne Marcel Roche is another brilliant wine from this estate. Loads of black raspberries, candied orange, wildflowers, camphor, and peppery garrigue define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a rich yet also fresh, lively mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's a hedonistic beauty that does everything right.
