2019 Domaine Les Aphillanthes Les Galets Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu

A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvède aged in concrete vats for 18 months. Black as night at its heart with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Soaring through the olfactory senses with a great sense of vibrancy are spicy dark raspberry and red liquorice scents which meld into Provincial herb, scorched earth and peppered meat notes. Delicious and bright, the mid weighted palate has juicy red to dark raspberry and red liquorice fruits flowing across it with infusions of Provincial herbs, subtle scorched earth and peppered meat nuances lying underneath. Gently chewy but otherwise polished tannins finishing with great freshness and a long pepper laced red to dark fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
