Other Reviews....
A slightly cooler nose flashes more prominent mineral reduction notes on the pear and apple compote scents that are trimmed in citrusy nuances. The more tightly wound and more mineral-driven flavors possess good power and drive on the balanced, lemony and sneaky long finale. This is more classically styled than the Champs Canet and overall, it is really quite good. Drink 2029+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

A rich and powerful rendition of this cuvée, Carillon's 2019 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières reveals aromas of orchard and stone fruit mingled with hints of apple blossom and fresh bread. Medium to full-bodied, textural and concentrated, with bright girdling acids and a long, mineral finish, it's an unusually dramatic Perrières from this address.

The 2019 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru is a little stricter on the nose compared to the Champs-Canet, though it opens with scents of mirabelle, white flowers and just a hint of dried honey. The palate is very well balanced and now shows immense concentration. This is not shy retiring wallflower, but has real depth towards the finish. Excellent. Drink 2023 - 2040.

Full lemon colour, a slightly warmer richer nose. A little bit of braised fennel here. Then white ripe pears, but not peaches. Helpful acidity to finish. Avoids excess heat, and the length is there, but CH C has better balance.
