2019 Domaine Confuron-Gindre Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots Premier Cru
The reputation of Domaine Confuron-Gindre is slowly spreading around the world now that they have starting allowing sales outside of private clients and a select few distributors in Europe. François Confuron-Gindre created the domaine in 1989 with his wife Claudine, and he has now been joined by their son Edouard, who has begun to refine the wines while continuing their structural and age worthy style.
This branch of the Confuron family took over the Suchots vines after pruning. They have made five barrels, vinified with one third whole bunches. Medium to deep purple, very generous in the mouth, does not fall away too far as can happen with Suchots. A bit more feel of whole bunch here, dries the finish a touch now but will fill out. Good aftertaste, though discreet as Suchots tends to be.
