2019 Domaine Confuron-Gindre Vosne-Romanee Les Brulees Premier Cru

The reputation of Domaine Confuron-Gindre is slowly spreading around the world now that they have starting allowing sales outside of private clients and a select few distributors in Europe. François Confuron-Gindre created the domaine in 1989 with his wife Claudine, and he has now been joined by their son Edouard, who has begun to refine the wines while continuing their structural and age worthy style.

Just two barrels on the north-facing side of the vineyard, with 40% whole bunch vinification. Medium to deep purple, good acidity suggested by the nose, a fresher fruit. Very nicely poised in the usual serious, almost stern style, with fair length. Pretty good balance.
