2019 Domaine Confuron-Gindre Vosne-Romanee Les Beaumonts Premier Cru

The reputation of Domaine Confuron-Gindre is slowly spreading around the world now that they have starting allowing sales outside of private clients and a select few distributors in Europe. François Confuron-Gindre created the domaine in 1989 with his wife Claudine, and he has now been joined by their son Edouard, who has begun to refine the wines while continuing their structural and age worthy style.

The Confuron-Gindre holding is on a strip with lots of stones, that needs to be picked early. Deep purple to black, a beautiful concentrated nose in which the fruit is really expressive. This is fully open, you can taste the grape skins, not kirsch or prunes, but fully ripe. 30% stems bring a lift of freshness and the saline touch, more than pepper. Promising.
