2019 Domaine Confuron-Gindre Nuits-Saint-Georges

The reputation of Domaine Confuron-Gindre is slowly spreading around the world now that they have starting allowing sales outside of private clients and a select few distributors in Europe. François Confuron-Gindre created the domaine in 1989 with his wife Claudine, and he has now been joined by their son Edouard, who has begun to refine the wines while continuing their structural and age worthy style.

20% whole bunch vinification from Herbues, Lavières and Allots, one third of each. Dense black centre, nutty walnut nose, very concentrated. Massive on the palate, ultra-concentrated, essence of densely concentrated pinot juice. Not hot, not cooked but just so concentrated that one wonders when it will come round.
