2019 Domaine Confuron-Gindre Gevrey-Chambertin

The reputation of Domaine Confuron-Gindre is slowly spreading around the world now that they have starting allowing sales outside of private clients and a select few distributors in Europe. François Confuron-Gindre created the domaine in 1989 with his wife Claudine, and he has now been joined by their son Edouard, who has begun to refine the wines while continuing their structural and age worthy style.

20% whole bunch vinification from Les Seuvrées (80%) plus Les Crais and Champs Chenys. Deep purple black, the bouquet is halfway between the Vosne and the Nuits in style, then easier going on the palate, with a useful fresh acidity.
