2019 Domaine Chalmeau Bourgogne Aligote

Domaine Chalmeau is owned and operated by Patrick Chalmeau, wife Christine and daughter Elodie, the family has been making wine on the property, since Patrick’s grandfather established the estate after the second world war. Located between Auxerre and Chablis, in the charming village of Chitry, the domaine produces Bourgogne Aligoté, Bourgogne Chitry Rouge, Bourgogne Chitry Blanc, Chablis and Chablis Montmains 1er Cru.
Bright pale straw to straw colour with a watery hue. Lifted scents of ripe pear, lime and bees wax mesh with honeyed almond and slate notes. Generous ripe pear, lime and dried honey flavours have a rounded feel with elements of spicy almond and slate echoing through on the back half. Finishes very dry with crisp like acidity and a long finely tuned aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
