Refined yet juicy, this is a delightful Cotes du Rhone for drinking over the short term.
A blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault and 10% Syrah from vines with an average age of 35 years. Very deep black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Elevated spicy black raspberry and liquorice aromas are interwoven with black cherry, distinct herbs du Provence, scorched earth and peppered dried meat notes. Mid weighted the palate shows a surprisingly refined yet juicy feel with black cherry and dark raspberry fruits melding into liquorice, earthy herbs du Provence like characters, smoked meat and spicy pepper. Solid concentration and depth with a velvet like texture, slightly chewy tannins adding some character. The peppered meat infused aftertaste showing ample freshness.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 14.5%
