2019 Deep Woods Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Matured in new and seasoned French oak barriques. Dense midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Attractive blackcurrant scents infused with black olive intermingle with tobacco leaf, dusty cedar and bay leaf. Mid weighted red to black currant and mulberry fruits show ample richness and good flesh with black olive, cedary tobacco characters and bay leaf poking through on the back half. Nicely balanced with fine grained, slightly chalky tannins and good freshness. Elegant medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

As per usual for the Deep Woods team, this is a dense, intensely vibrant and cracking cabernet merlot. Never doubt them, for they are doing brilliant things. Drink by 2030.
