David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.

Other Reviews....
A markedly floral nose offers up notes of lavender, rose petal, violet and an interesting whiff of acacia blossom on the very spicy aromas of black cherry and plum liqueur. The succulent yet powerful and dense larger-scaled flavors are muscular, serious and robust while coating the palate with sappy dry extract that also serves to buffer the firm tannic spine supporting the impressively long finale. This too possesses excellent development potential though it should be approachable after only 7 to 8 years. Drink 2034+.
