David Duband is regarded as one of the rising stars of Burgundy. He took over his family domaine at a very young age and now has more than 20 vintages of experience behind him. Starting out with small family holdings David, together with his business partner Francois Feuillet, have added to their portfolio of wines through the purchase of some exceptional old Grand cru vineyards throughout Gevrey Chambertin and Morey St Denis, including prime holdings of retiring vigneron Jacky Truchot.

Other Reviews....
This is clearly from Gevrey as the more expressive though still reserved nose flashes plenty of underbrush and sauvage elements on the dark currant and floral-suffused nose. There is equally good volume and richness to the medium-bodied and delicious flavors that culminate in a balanced and hugely long though youthfully austere finish. This is also really very good though unlike the Clos de la Roche, this should be approachable after only a decade. Drink 2036+.
