Other Reviews....
From the coolest site on the Curly Flat estate. 22-year-old vines. No new oak.
It’s clearly the most delicate and arguably the most detailed of Curly Flat’s 2019 pinot noir releases. It throws fistfuls of spice into the mix, along with herbs, along with a certain grit to the tannin. This is a lacy pinot noir, perfumed, refreshing, not without presence, blessed by finesse. It’s the most approachable of the 2019s but it has all the components to age. The length of the finish is of note. Drink 2022 - 2026+

Fruit comes off vineyards on the coolest, western blocks. 115 and 144 clones, 17% whole bunches in the wild ferment and aged in used French oak for 16 months. There's a prettiness, an alluring fragrance of rose petals that gives way to more obvious cherry nuances. It's just shy of full bodied, with textural, fine-grained tannins, crunchy acidity and a moreish element. Compelling wine. Drink by 2033.
