Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. The nose expels scents of blackcurrant, tobacco and black olive followed by spicy cedar and light bay leaf notes. Medium bodied the palate offers up ripe blackcurrant and liquorice fruits over a back drop of earth, dusty cedar, black olives and spicy bay leaf. Solidly built tannins firm up the finish which displays medium length.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.7%

Other Reviews….
I found a bottle of the super 2018 lurking in the cellar, so for context, opened it alongside this 2019. Interesting. For the record, the 2018 has the beautiful gravel tannin profile and more fruit sweetness, whereas the 2019 falls more to savoury. nutty, samphire and maritime.
Nutty, charry, black olive, samphire, floral perfume, umeboshi plum and blackberry. It’s medium-bodied, saline and dark, with a smooth web of graphite tannin, subdued acidity, and a fairly long fine perfumed finish. Needs a little while to come up, slightly sullen as at now, but with more to come, I suspect. Drink 2022-2030+
