2019 Coombe Pinot Noir

The 120 acre Coombe vineyard is one of the oldest in the valley, having supplied fruit to some of Australia’s most recognised producers, an increasing portion now being grown and selected specifically for their own brand.
Semi translucent dark red in colour with tinges of black to the edges and a light red hue. Intensely perfumed the nose sees violet, red to dark cherry, strawberry, anise, forest floor, some meaty notes, spicy cedar and fresh herbs blossom from the glass. Expanding across the palate like a peacocks tail are delicious red to dark fruits which show some spice. Supple mouthfeel with subtle anise, forest floor and spicy cedar elements also chiming in. Finishes with lovely balance and freshness, silky smooth tannins melding into a long seductive conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
