2019 Contini Tonaghe Cannonau di Sardegna

Made from predominately Cannonau (Grenache) with the addition of 10% indigenous black grapes. Dark red in colour with touches of black to the edges and a semi translucent brick red hue. Spicy dark raspberry and dark to black cherry aromas meld into volcanic rock like notes, fresh herbs and pepper. Light to medium weight and very smooth, juicy cherry and plum fruits are served up over a back drop of volcanic rock, infusions of fresh herbs and spicy pepper. Bright fresh finish with silky tannins and a savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
