Matured for 18 months in French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Nosing offers up ripe red to black currant scents infused with black olive followed by cigar box, fresh herb and spice notes. Layered across the medium bodied palate are red to black currant and plum flavours with vanillin cedar, tobacco and fresh mint characters ensuing. Fine grained tannins finishing with good freshness and an elegant medium length aftertaste.
