2019 Chateau de Chamirey La Mission Monopole Mercurey Premier Cru

Fermented and matured in Burgundian barrels, 15% new, for a period of 14 months. Bright pale straw colour with straw tinged edges and a watery hue. Intense aromatics of yellow peach, honeycomb and ripe pears mix with butterscotch, bacon fat and citrusy nougat notes. Rich, concentrated and weighty the opulent palate features creamy textured flavours of ripe yellow peaches, honeycomb and crème brulee over bacon fat and spicy nougat. Concludes round and powerful with a lingering hazelnut character on the aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
