Sourced from vines aged between 25-55 years old and matured in French oak puncheons and hogsheads of which 15% were new. Inky black heart with a bright purple red hue. Nosing reveals scents of liquorice, plum and fresh blackberry followed by some dusty vanillin cedar and light pepper notes. Rich juicy blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits are backed by a youthful freshness. Well integrated vanillin cedar and spicy pepper characters flow onto the back half. Polished tannins with a bright fruit driven finish.
