2019 Cedre Heritage Cahors Malbec

A blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Merlot matured for 18 months in a combination of 90% concrete tanks and 10% 2 year old barrels. Totally opaque midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted dark plum and morello cherry aromas marry into some liquorice, dried herb, subtle earth and spice notes. Mid weighted with a fleshy feel, spicy dark plum and cherry fruits infused with dried herbs mix with some earthy background characters. Slightly dryish finish with polished tannins and a savoury medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
