2019 Cascina Galarin Le Querce Barbera d'Asti

A blend of 95% Barbera and 5% Freisa aged for 12 months steel tanks then given a further 3 months in bottle before being released. Dark red black colour with a bright purple red hue. Freshly crushed ripe blackberry, dark cherry and liquorice aromas are followed by subtle earth, light tobacco and spice notes. Generous mid weighted blackberry and dark cherry flavours along with a touch of liquorice are underpinned by bright acidity with traces of earth and vanillin spice chiming in on the back half. Finishes dry with slightly dusty tannins and a fresh savoury aftertaste.
