Matured for 12 months in American oak hogsheads. Impenetrable inky black in colour with a very deep black dark red hue. Pronounced black and morello cherry aromas sit alongside some liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and peppered earth notes. Full in body, opulent black cherry, liquorice and morello cherry fruits are delivered with terrific richness. Vanillin oak, scorched earth and spice characters ensue. Plush mouth feel with ripe chewy tannins firming up the finish. Long lavish black fruited aftertaste.
