2019 Bouchard Pere & Fils La Vignee Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Bouchard Pere et Fils source fruit from a variety of growers located throughout Bourgogne. Maturation is typically 10-15% in French oak barrels with the balance in stainless steel vats for a period of 9 to 10 months.
Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright dark red purple hue. Aromas of red and dark cherries are interwoven with hints of strawberry fruit, forest floor, light dried meats and subtle spicy herb notes. Light in body but generously flavoured, savoury cherry and dark strawberry fruits are to the fore with elements of forest floor, infusions of fresh herbs and spicy cedar evolving on the back half. Polished and elegant in its feel it has fine grained tannins, good freshness and a refined red fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
