2019 Benjamin Leroux Bourgogne
There is an interesting hint of mint tea to the pretty aromas that blend various red berry and earth scents. There is fine intensity to the delicious middle weight flavors that possess both good balance and solid persistence. This is a lovely Bourgogne and one that would make a great house wine candidate plus ii will age. Drink 2024+.
Allen Meadows - Burghound
Derived largely from the Côte de Beaune, the 2019 Bourgogne Rouge bursts with aromas of sweet berry fruit, plums and sweet spices. Medium-bodied, succulent and charming, with lively acids and a nicely defined finish, it has turned out well. Drink 2021 - 2025.
William Kelley - Wine Advocate (Oct 2021)
75% comes from Bourgogne and Hautes Côtes de Nuits Dames Huguettes vineyards, with some fruit from Savigny, St-Romain and Monthelie. Glowing red purple, very exciting lifted fresh dark red fruit. Darker fruit on the palate, but still with a great sense of energy, filling the mouth, balanced fruit and tannins, ready for bottling. Very long.
