2019 Beechworth Wine Estates Chardonnay

Fermented in 500 litre oak barrels, 30% of which was new, with maturation in the same oak on lees for 10 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with distinct highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Blossoming out of the glass are scents of white peach, dried honey, biscuity nougat characters, faint cashew and gun flint. Possessing excellent intensity and a creamy mouthfeel, the palate is blessed with rich white peach, ripe nectarine and dried honey flavours which meld into biscuity nougat characters and infusions of gun flint. Nicely balanced it finishes long and textured.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
