2019 Aphelion Affinity G,M & S

A blend of 50% Grenache, 45% Mataro and 5% Shiraz matured for 9 months in neutral French puncheons and hogsheads. Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Intense dark raspberry, ripe cherry and plum aromatics burst out of the glass mixing with liquorice, dried herb and vanilla spice along the way. The highly moreish mid weighted palate is layered with succulent dark raspberry, plum and liquorice fruits which show tremendous depth, freshness and power. Very fleshy mouthfeel with subtle infusions of fresh herbs and light spicy earth on the back half. Vibrant acidity, silky tannins and a long delectable aftertaste.
