Matured for 21 months in French and Hungarian hogsheads and barriques. Dense inky black colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Springing out of the glass are ripe blackcurrant and choc mint scents followed by some vanillin cedar, tobacco, earthy black olive and spice notes. Rich blackcurrant and dark chocolate flavours are underscored by a firm, sturdy yet well integrated tannin structure. Vanillin cedar, earthy black olive, tobacco and mint characters are also evident. Medium bodied it has a refined, amply powered finish.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
Another beautiful release. Mint, mulberry and blackcurrant flavours drift with tobacco and forest herbs. It's a cooling cabernet but a ripe one, fluid and refreshing but firm and solid. This wine needs to be stashed in a cool, dark place for at least a handful of years to start showing its best. Drink by 2038.
