$29. 99
Bottle
$359.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 5 Years (2020-2025)
ABV: 13%
Closure: Stelvin

Made entirely from the Gingin clone, the majority of fruit for this Chardonnay was sourced from Xanadu’s estate vineyards in the Wallcliffe sub region with the balance (30%) coming from mature grower vineyards located in the Wilyabrup, Wallcliffe and Karridale districts. Barrel fermented in French oak of which 25% was new.

From what will be remembered as an outstanding vintage, this is a superb take on modern styled Margaret River Chardonnay.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. Intense white peach, nectarine and dried honey aromatics jump out of the glass followed by biscuity oak, citrusy nougat, light cashew and spice notes. Contemporary in its style, delightful white peach, nectarine and zingy citrus fruits have a refined feel and air of vivid freshness. Dried honey, subtle cashew and spicy nougat elements then move in. Lively acidity finishing with a long and vibrant aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13%

Other Reviews….
Excellent intensity and length. Green pineapple, stone fruit, steel and cedar wood flavours crash authoritatively through the mouth. No doubting its variety, no doubting its region. There's a piercing aspect to the finish but it brings flavour right along with it. Drink by 2030.

An exquisite wine from this great WA vintage. Gorgeous aroma of pear and citrus with a trace of cereal substance in the background. There is an ever-so-subtle toasty backdrop, but the life and energy through the fine, intense palate is superb. A delightful minerally crisp acidity finishes an excellent wine.
