2018 Woody Nook Single Vineyard Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in American oak barriques. Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pepper laced liquorice, dark plum and blackberry scents are trailed by meaty black olive like notes and graphite. Rich, liquorice, plum and black cherry fruits have good underlying freshness with vanillin cedar, light meaty earth and blackpepper characters in the background. Bright finish with slightly grainy tannins. Concludes with a well fruited medium to long aftertaste that has elements of pepper and spice to it.
