2018 Woodlands Clementine
A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Malbec, 13% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice and black olive combine with cigar box, earth and spicy dried herb notes. Bold and full in body, the rich palate has cascading waves of ripe blackcurrant rolling across it which are complexed by liquorice, cigar box, black olive, earth and spicy dried herb elements. A sturdy tannin structure firms up the finish lending some grip to the long robust, spicy black fruited aftertaste.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc. 13.5%
Other Reviews....
Aromas of wet slate and black fruit with blackcurrants, some leaves and violets, as well as forest wood. Complex and so youthful. The palate has a very supple, defined, layered and fresh feel with dark-plum and blackcurrant flavors set in fine tannins. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, malbec, petit verdot and cabernet franc. Drink over the next decade. Screw cap.
