2018 Wittmann 100 Hugel Riesling Trocken

Wittmann are firmly established as one of Germany’s superstar producers. Their entry level ‘100 Hills’ Riesling is amazingly juicy and fresh with animated acidity and fine minerality.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Elevated lime, green apple and light orange blossom scents are trailed by wet slate and flinty mineral notes. Showing good intensity are zesty lime, orange rind and green apple flavours which decorate the palate over a flinty slate back drop. Finishes dry with snappy mineral laced acidity and an invigorating medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
