Made the way Chardonnay used to be, West Cape Howe’s Old School Chardonnay is fermented entirely in French oak and goes through malolactic fermentation to produce a big, rich, textured wine with a modern twist of freshness on the finish.

Absolutely nails the style.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Lifted aromas of ripe peaches tinged with apricot mingle with honeycomb, nougat, citrus and faint spice notes. Rich with good volume in the mouth, this fullish Chardonnay is filled with ripe peach, apricot and honeycomb flavours which meld into subtle butterscotch, nougat, subtle toasty oak and spice elements. Round and creamy in texture it finishes with good freshness and a long luscious aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
