2018 West Cape Howe Cabernet Merlot

Excellent depth of colour featuring a pitch black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Expressive ripe blackcurrant and mulberry scents have a bay leaf overlay with notions of tobacco leaf and a whiff of spicy capsicum also chiming in. Medium weighted the palate is generously endowed with rich blackcurrant and mulberry fruits which sit over a cedary tobacco, spicy black olive and bay leaf back drop. Slightly grainy but finely integrated tannins concluding with a deep medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
