2018 Wantirna Estate Isabella Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Rising gracefully out of the glass are scents of white peaches and nectarines wrapped up in a mix of dried honey and cashew notes with notions of gun flint, faint grapefruit and spice also evident. Intense yet also refined flavours of ripe nectarines, dried honey and light grapefruit overlay a back drop of gun flint, roasted almonds and spice. Creamy mid palate feel finishing with a grapefruit like freshness on the medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Isabella really necessary on a bike? So many Dad jokes, so little time.
Ripe peachy expression with butter menthol, mint, wheatgerm and spice. Juicy pear and peach, a certain citrus cut through the gloss and glide of this flavoursome little number, some flint, savoury umami character, juicy and chalky through a nice long finish. It’s a proper Chardonnay, and feels pretty much ready, almost raring, to go. Drink 2019-2024.
