Matured in older French oak barriques for 14 months. Inky black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of black cherries and liquorice intermix with scorched earth, vanillin oak and blackpepper notes. Medium to full bodied the palate offers up rich blackberry and liquorice fruits over scorched earth, vanillin oak and peppered meats. Generous mouthfeel with ripe chewy tannins firming up the medium length aftertaste.
