Matured in older large format French oak casks. Deep dark purple black colour with a bright purple hue. Aromas of plum, blueberry and liquorice intermingle with hints of toast and vanillin spice. Medium weighted, juicy plum and blueberry fruits sit over a liquorice, light earth and spicy vanillin cedar back drop. Fleshy in its feel with polished tannins and a youthful freshness it finishes with a savoury medium length aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
From dry-grown estate blocks averaging 40yo, fermented in large 2700l used casks. It is spectacular value, and more obvious in all aspects: depth, colour, richness (plum to the fore), tannins (for balance and longevity). There's no sin in drinking this, but it will still be on the up 20 years from now. Drink by 2040.
