Midnight black core with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Expressive dark plum, blueberry and liquorice aromas are trailed by vanillin cedar, dried herbs, faint earthy fennel and spice notes. Medium bodied with a slippery, plush textural feel, generous blackberry, ripe blueberry and liquorice fruits overlay delicate vanillin cedar and peppered dried herb nuances. Finishes with commendable freshness, velvety tannins and a refined aftertaste.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 14.1%

Other Reviews….
38% new French oak, 15% whole bunches. Ground coffee, ripe plum/redcurrant and blackberry flavours sweep confidently through the palate, chicory and sweet earth characters carried along for the ride. It's not flashy or necessarily seductive, but it's the most impeccable Barossa shiraz you could ever hope to find. It will mature beautifully. Drink by 2040.
