2018 Tomich Duck & Weave Pinot Noir

Produced from a terrific vintage in the Adelaide Hills with 10% whole bunch inclusion and maturation in French oak barrels this would have to be one of the best value Pinot’s going around.
Deep dark red at its core with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Spicy dark cherry, plum and anise scents show good intensity with more subtle fresh herb and forest floor notes ensuing. Light to medium weight the palate is flooded with dark cherry, plum and anise flavours which are both supple in their feel and expansive. Notions of forest floor, fresh herb infusions and spicy cedar sit underneath. Velvet smooth tannins, balanced acidity and a lengthy aftertaste finish off what is quite a moreish Pinot.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
