A blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Shiraz and 1% Cabernet Franc aged in French oak barriques (21% new). Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Nosing presents a mix of red to black currant and liquorice aromas over subtle cedary tobacco characters, earthy dried herbs and spice. Medium to full in body the palate is loaded with rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits which are complimented by dusty earth, vanillin cedar, tobacco, traces of black olive and spice. Fine yet firmish tannins provide plenty of structure. Concludes with a slightly grainy but long aftertaste.
