Matured for 12 months in new French and American oak. Midnight black heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Elevated ripe dark plum and liquorice scents are intermeshed with fennel, light smoky cedar and spicy pepper notes. Rich and succulent the palate is swamped with opulently textured dark plum, liquorice and blackberry fruits. Smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper characters lie underneath. Velvet smooth tannins with a long, juicy spicy pepper infused aftertaste.
