2018 Tar & Roses The Rose Heathcote Shiraz

Displays Heathcote Shiraz’ trademark inky blackness with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry scents flow out of the glass trailed by smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and blackpepper. Rich full bodied flavours of black cherry, liquorice and blackberry douse the palate underscored by vanillin cedar, elements of fennel, subtle earthy black olive characters and blackpepper. A robust tannin structure provides ample support. Superb power with a long, rich and muscular finish that’s so typical of the Heathcote region.
