2018 Tallarook Viognier

Matured in seasoned French oak barrels on yeast lees for 8 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of fresh peach and apricot intermix with honeysuckle followed by hints of lemon butter and light spice. The mid weight palate has good richness and a gentle creaminess to it with flavours of apricot and peach running into honeysuckle, beeswax and lemon butter. Finishes with a lick of spice, good balanced fresh acidity and a medium length conclusion. Give it a few years to fill out then drink it over the next 1-2 years.
